Its called ballooning. Go to Wikipedia and search "Centrifugal force".

When something spins, forces want material to move away from the center point of the rotation. In this case, the rubber tire and foam insert are the 'loosest' part of the spinning object, so it moves away from the wheel. I think you would've learned this in grade 4 or grade 5 science.

Read it and you'll understand why it does that.

Nice video superinfinity! What're you running under there? My GT2 does balloons with the stock engine when I unload my diff. So does my B4.

Got any experience with the Mamba Max 5700kV?

EDIT: Bondo's been here for a while... Looks like he's typing up a formal explanation!

Yup! Holding one wheel and allowing the other to 'unload' is where the saying "unloading my diff" comes from. It usually happens when you brake hard, turn-in, and your inside wheel lifts off the ground. When you gun the throttle, you don't accelerate as quickly since all the power has been unloaded to the wheel not touching the ground. This is the result of an open-differential. Its for this reason why they've invented LSDs (limited-slip differentials), and locked differentials (for rock crawling).

I got 58% in physics But I'm taking it again (grade 12, not grade 11) physics next year... I need it for Uni... But I'll do better... I did great on the mechanical stuff (interesting, can relate to cars, etc), but everything else... I just slacked off... I was an idiot back then lol
