you shouldve just found another store with the same xmod and just returned the whole starter kit for a new 1. as long as you have your receipt they should let you change it at any RS.

****...you should always keep your receipt. i had my 1st xmod for about 3 weeks and ran the **** out of it. i decided i wanted a scion so i took it back and said i wanted to swap it because it was making funny noises. they did it no questions asked.

same with my brothers mustang. we went through 3 starter kits before he found the 1 he wanted to keep. we just took them back to a different RS each time.

Yes they can.

Go back to the RS and tell them you broke a knuckle and they will give you something called a knuckle repair kit. You should only have to pay shipping which is less than $2. When I went in I brought the broken knuckles to show them what had happened. You can buy all kinds of indiviudal parts though, just make sure you talk to a manager or someone not lazy.

every RS in my area will not order individual parts. they would rather give you another starter kit than have to go through the trouble of ordering something.
they dont care because most likely they just throw the old kit in the trash.

They'll order anything you want here in Texas...of course a lot of our radioshacks employ people who care. You could also go online and call radioshack's headquarters number, you can order parts from there. I had to do that for one of my gen 1s because they're discontinued. They ALL have the ability to order parts....it's just if they want to or not.

I've noticed the same sorts of issues at Radio Shacks near me, where the employees are less than helpful, and really just don't know their products.

Normally you should be able to buy something like a front knuckle...but it costs like $2 plus shipping.

So instead of paying tons for one knuckle, go to your RS and tell them that the knuckles on your new Xmod cracked and you need a knuckle repair kit. You should only have to pay shipping. if the employee acts like an idiot tell him you want to speak with a manager. If not then ask for the # to the corp. heaquarters.

I can find my receipt and take a pic of it for you so you can show them there is such a thing.

Just be firm with them...because unfortunately most RS employees are lazy as ****
