FWD issues, differential not strong enough
Ok, so I read about someone else on this site building a FWD tC, I tried it in my lancer, to know luck, the car didn't even move!!! I have the GPM front differential, but i was running the stock rear differential. I could install the GPM limited slip rear, but i'm tired, does anyone know if it would work and save me the trouble of experimenting??? Aswell, could this problem have been caused by my stock all wheel drive kit?? Would better cone gears make that much of a difference??? my RS ones are in pretty good shape. Any feedback would much appreciated...

nope i removed the rear ones and installed the front ones. everything seems to be set up right, but the differential doesn't seem to be strong enough. i got it from atomicmods and it's only been used for maybe 10 hrs.

i think your going to need to change ur diff cause its sounding like your gpm diff is a ball diff letting the diff spin and not the tires if you hold them.if your tires spin when you hold the car in the air but it wont move when you set it on the ground then you need to change ur front diff back to stock i have a scion tC fwd and a acura rsx fwd both evos and they work fine. i had to stuff a little toilet paper in the drife shaft gears to prevent gear slipping and thats all i had to do
