sorry bro but i dont have a tut for that one.
you should be able to use the info from the AM gen1 tut and apply it to the evo mots.
they share the same basic principals.

are you racing your freind on a track or drag?
whats your power source?

cheers,
bondo

more rpm is good if your racing scale 1/8 mile strip.(23.5 feet)
but if your just setting up cones for a straight run you want higher torque.
this will get your car up to top speed faster.
try a different gearing with the s1.

i did the spin brush thing to my stage 1 and i dont think the rpm increases at all, because i race this dude with also stage 1 and speed is the same. cept mine has lot more torque.

y not spend another 20 bucks and get the atomic standard with neo magnets, its gonna kick your friends buttt to mars, thats what im doing next week.

you can buy neos for around 5 bux a pair and install them yourself.
no need to buy from overpriced AM.

i'll try to find the link

dude buy the atomic standard, with your six cells, it can do well over 40k rpm, stop wasting money , go straight to the fast ones, and if you put neo on them they are gonna fly i tell you

you dont have to buy the AM standard to use the neos.
they fit in all the 130 mots.
you could buy a set of neos and put them in a stock motor and notice a pretty big gain.

fararri,
he's not wasting any money if he goes with what he has.
someone on another forum had worked out the best gear ratio to motors for specific kinds of racing.
i'll try to locate it.

MCFL,
try to find out what your freind is running if you can.

sorry dude didnt mean to be rude

and yes i knw neo work on all 130 motors, im just saying for a good price of the standard motor, youll have both VERY good speed and torque, thts just my suggestion, i think itll be nice thats what im gonna put on my car next week

i also saw on AM that the 9 teeth pinion and the red bevel gear seems to be a sweet spot since it has top end faster than the higher ( or lower i cant figure out which) gear ratios.
