no, it wouldnt be cool. Have you ever seen the pics of camaros with lifts? They look like the south end of a north-bound cow.
As far as i know, you cant put an evo mod on a gen 1 chasis. But im sure there is someone out there who has figured it out.

wow, you guys need to calm down. if you don't have anything productive to say, don't say anything.
now for some usefull, and relevent information. the truck lift kit won't fit, in any way, shape, or form, on a Gen 1 chassis. the suspension design is completely different. You'd be better off starting from scratch. you could body lift it, and clearance the crap out of the fenders, and run the truck tires. I love the idea, but there is no way to do a suspension lift on a gen 1 car....period.

what a lot of people have done is use huge *** tires and extend the axle, then u make a raised mount from scratch for the body.

Thats pretty much exactly what i said. I want to get a Titan (goin to have to order it from alberta, dangit!) just so that i can do the lift with it. (going to have to order that from alberta too..GAH i hate saskatchewan....i need money to open a RS) If you do manage to get a gen 1 lifted through suspension, then make sure you post a tut!

Thats what I did before, but the body wouldn't fit and it was a camaro chassis (no difference). The chassis was lengthened to put the 360 motor on that sucka and a 6 cell upgrade.
Crazy torque. http://www.xmodsource.com/gallery/sh...hp?i=2434&c=18 (and yes, those are barney tires) Last edited by vzereeys; 11-01-2006 at 05:23 PM.. |
