Default Polished Heat Shrink-has this been done before?

i'm not sure if someone has already polished their radio shack heat shrink before but here is mine polished up. I do need to touch it up a bit but here it is anyway.

ENJOY:

If you look at the inside of the heatshrink in the above pics, you can really appreciate the polish

Its heatsink not heatshrink and your heatsink looks cool.

Exactly how do you do that again? It looks nice.. Mine is like all crusty looking even though I dont use a heatsink anyways I dont think it does crap but add dead weight.

I used "eagle one never dull" but you can use any alumn polish you might have laying around. You basically want to clean your heatsink with the polish

ummm actually instead of spending money on Eagle One you could've got an old toothbrush and some toothpaste. The abrasion in regular crest or other toothpastes would polish that heatsink just as good if not better than an aluminum polish.

I already has this in my house from when I clean my car. If you want a mirror like finish, follow this tutorial:

it won't attract more dirt...you going to get same the same amount of dirt whether it was polished or not but when its polished, its more noitceable

well i got all technical on mine, i took some sandblaster yellow sandpaper, an sanded all that grey stuff off to get it down to metal then took some 800 grit sandpaper an smoothed it out, the i took out the dremel with a buffing bit on it with a little bit of metal polish compound an here she is what a beauty
