Default Battery set-up like Gen 1. for a evo.

Ok title says it all. I have a hummer and want to do a battery setup like a gen 1. I have the holders and such and was wondering if you solder a black and a red wire togheter and then the other two to the board? Is that right? Like solder onw wire with a spring on one side to another side that dosent? is that right?

OK, if I understand correctly, here is my answer: You have to solder both black leads to the original Evo black solder point, and vice-versa with the red.
