erm...try using brake fuel, or polish remover...i really don't know how long it takes....but let the model sit for about... 30...check up on it...then let it sit for another 30 minutes.... not too sure though, never tried myself...i always sanded the paint off...lol

ya brake fluid works good but watch out check on it every 30 min or so like he said but pull it out and see if you can wipe off the paint cus if left in to long it will start to wreck the plastic.

dude have you guys actaul let it set in brake fluid. that must have destroyed it. i never used it on an xmod but im a P/T car tech or mech. what ever u prefer but i've delt with some acidental spills and that stuff is harsh. i think all u need is some on a rag and a little elbo grease

yeah i agre with gearhead. Just use a high grit sandpaper and sand in off. That way you should beable to get a very smooth finish also.

dont waist you time sanding it takes to long to prep by the time your ready to paint. plus if you sand it your just going to put all the layers back on with all the primer you are going to have to lay to fill all the scratches.

like we said before...watch it every 30 minutes....take the model out...and see if the paint is coming off by rubbing it with waste cloth....make sure you have gloves..

Like I posted on another thread-
soak the car in Castrol Super Clean. You can get it at Wal-Mart for a few bucks a gallon. I have left cars soak for Days and it doesn't hurt the plastic. It strips ALL the paint down to the plastic.
