Project:Micro Dragster

As some of you may know I have a Losi Micro DT that has BL and LiPo...well it isn't fast enough for me. Either I will hook up a battery from a CX2(yes I am crazy) or just use the 3S LiPo that Losi Sells for the Micro DT only. No pictures right now as I need a design but my tranny is all stripped out so I will probably go for a solid axle in the rear. Need ideas for that. Independent suspension in the front. Need to make a chassis too. Either using Carbon Fiber or aluminum. Not quite sure on that yet. Right now my main concern is making a solid axle because without that it wouldn't have any "go" as the current transmission is all stripped out or shredded from raw power. And yes I have a way to charge the CX2 battery either with one of dad's CX2 chargers or my Duratrax 230 charger

mustanglover: I think he still is making one. What is your name?(micro t forum) mine is the same.

I would go with the losi 3c lipo. it is smaller and the runtimes don't really matter since it is will be run like 15secs at a time. for t he axle maybe a mini z axle or a gen1. Good luck.

sorry don't have much input but did you say theres a battery made exclusivley for micro dt's? whys that?

the chassis of the micro dt is about an inch longer, that inch is added to the battery compartment. letting it use larger batteries. the plugs and everything is the same, just the size of the battery compartment/battery

Exactly what fieldfairy said. Guys, mine may last longer being that it is currently BL and LiPo and lasts for about 20 minutes+ currently. Mustanglover, I've seen his but that wasn't who gave me the idea. A person whose username is akres15 from another forum who I also talk to on aim is making a Mini T based dragster so he gave me the idea to make a Micro DT based dragster. But since this may be quite long, I may use the CX2 pack instead of a Micro DT pack...not entirely sure yet.
