Yes all starter kits are pretty much the same..... I seem to remember something one of the Skylines coming with a stage 2 right out of the box but I might have just imagined that!

RadioShack claim the evo motor is faster but to me it doesn't appear that way!

Evo is better than gen1 in terms of handling and turning circle.

To be honest with you if you can get a Subaru starter kit for a decent price I would say jump on it because thats a pretty rare car!!

Within each design they're the same motor. All EVO Xmods share the same stage one motor and all Gen1 Xmods share the same stage one motor.

The EVO stage one motor is faster than the Gen1 stage one motor.

Gen1 stage one motor:

Welcome to the forum! Read the rules and have fun!

The Subaru Xmod is a very nice and rare. The gen 1's all go the same speed. But you are really picky about it, some bodies have less weight then others. And some are shorter. That plays a role in the performance. But not much.

The Evo touring car chassis. RadioShack claims they are 10% faster. They have a much different design then the gen 1's. Evo's all go the same speed. But again, the bodies, lengths etc... play a role. These also have a MUCH MUCH better turning radius then the gen 1's

The Evo Truck chassis. Is well, a truck chassis. These are like the Evo touring chassis except these are higher off the ground, and have some articulation.

Someone else can explain more, I just woke up like 10-20 min ago...

Regardless whether it's an Evo or Gen 1, just get it. The Subaru is a fairly rare treasured Xmod.

As far as the performance, the Subaru body is fairly balanced. You should get decent handling with the right tweeks.
