Theres a vide with strobe lights on an xmod on youtube, look it up.
I was going to put strobe lights on my old g35, but I sold it, because I want only muscle cars and trucks.

Go to AAP and get some strobes. They'll cost $15 at the most.
Find a small 12v powersource, and hook it up. Then it's time for you to be creaitve in mounting. For a truck with a trailer, you can put the batteries in the trailer and then mount the strobes.

That's a 9v.

You could try modding the Barricade's lights, I was going to try something like that.

+1
remove the diodes from a barricade light kit,add wires and wire as many diodes as you need in parralell.
the barricade light kit times the flashes of the two circuits differently so if you do a bit of creative wiring, you can probably time the flashes between the two ciruits to act like a strobe light.

Well, if you know about electronics, you can build your own circuit around a IC555 chip. Maybe even add a potentiometer to control the flashing speed and what-not. You could build the whole thing in about half an hour and the majority of the parts can be found at RS. I could probably dig up some schematics if you know how to read them.

I dont understand the need for a 12v source. As long as there arnt hundreds of lights, a 9v should work fine. I was about to get the parts to build some sort of crazy lighting device, but I realized, as I was standing over the parts cabinets at RS, that I didnt know exactly what to get. I had left my notes at home...

A lot of depends if you want real strobe lights, or just lights that flash in that style. Flashing lights would be a lot simpler only requiring some circuitry to control the lights, a strobe system would be much more involved.
