Default fwd in an evo?

is there any way you could put front wheel drive in an evo? i tried having all wheel drive in and taking out the back dogbones put it sounded like the gears were grinding.

Currently, all it does is make a lot of grinding noise. So far, the only way to create a FWD evo is to make the motor part of the drive shaft and eliminate the motor moving the back diff.

To bad its not a Gen.1. What you can do is just take the rear dog bones out.

Does it move? If not then maybe you have the wrong motor spacer. But those are just trouble shooting tips.

it moves very slowly and grinds a lot but chinese kid has an awesome vid that will help. i need to get new dog bones though. i think i will get the alluminum ones from atomic. i dont know if my mom will like that though

maybe a slower motor might work.. lol.. i don't see much grinding noise when i tested it out today on my evo chassis.. runs very fine and smooth

Default ahh but you can....

Does not mean you should. mid motor fwd. that is not such a hot idea.... I know. I have one just to prove I could, But to stop your grinding noise, take a wet wad of toilet paper about the size of a water drop and put it in each of the red drive shaft gears. Then stick the axels in and press slightly Replace back in to car and run it for 10 min strait NO LOAD. and let dry over night. It worked fine for me. the car handled for crap, all twichy and very unpredictable. I never even use it now. it just sits. and looks pretty one the shelf

i got mine to work. no grinding noise unless I back up, but i'm workn on that.
