Default My gen1 RWD drift setup

Hey since my front awd axles are screwed, i've gotten into RWD drift.
So Wut i did is shortened my gen1 chassis so it has better handling, put drift kit on the front and hard slick on the rear. All i need for now is a good torque motor and some practice.
Its shorter than the short gen1 chassis

compared to the long chassis:

I've took the shortest shaft and here how it fits:

It's really tight so i had to cut out that electronic cover pieces to give some space for the motor:

And im using a cooper body from a nyco rc car (one of my future project)

Of course, its harder to drift with rwd than awd so when ill be a little better ill get a vid of it in action.

ok heres just my personal experience...ive had alot of success with rwd drifting, im talking full circles. i use 6cell(car needs to be heavy), slicks on the back and drift kit tires on the front, stg 1 motor with sb mod, and dont ask me why i dont use stg 2, i do have them. the trick is throttle control, it's a very delicate trick to learn since flooring it or not enough throttle can both mean bad drifts. also the surface you are drifting on needs to be very smooth, perferably not very clean. i hope that helps.

you see the power needed to keep the wheels spinning comes from the two extra cells, if theres not enough output then the tires will gain grip and you will loose the drift

the key to drifting is too much power so u cant keep control

Kool ive only tried on wood.

Updates like i said, i've put it too the long base chassis, switch my stage 1 to a random 180 motor im not sure if its hyper torque motor but it seems that it has already more torque then the stage 1, put a 6cell mod in it and switch to 18 awg wires and it runs so much cooler dam after 10 minutes of drifting, my battery wasent even hot at all...
