Try to get to your LHS or look online for some dedicated differential lube. It might be less gooey, letting your gears spin with less resistance.

Any sort of grease is ok. I used gear grease mixed with graffite powder lube for a short while.

Neos may not be needed... I used them anyways. Though, I also used a larger gear off the hex-shaft.

But guys, know this. With the gear box, 180's torque isn't even needed. You don't even need to worry about torque unless you have a poor motor.

A minor update. Put in a F-150 body that was cut to allow articulation and a custom skid plate:

The skid plate is that big because I kind of got annoyed by the chasis preventing the chasis itself from easily going up things. The only thing I'm concerned about is the skidplate breaking off.

I would have thought a big skid plate would work for that reason. I like how you used the half F150 Body. Maybe a small paint job on it wouldn't be half bad.

Certainly is entertaining to look at with that massive skid plate and paddle-wheel tires. Very interesting indeed!

Guess it's time for an update.

I've finally cut down the annoying shafts on the gearbox:

And I've pulled together the motor cradle and the rear lifter thingy so the gears would mesh better and not come apart due to the torque:

And that's all the things I can show you now while I want for ImageShack to start working...

I am thinking about some alloy dogbones now because I've snapped two of them trying to do that toruqe test that Lancer_Man did where he held the back tires and it spun up...

Don't try to follow in the steps of the XCrawler!

Haha, JK!

Looks a ton better with the shortened driveshaft. Should function better with the drivetrain upgrades.

Cuting off the shafts makes it look better and takes off weight!!!(like 3 grams lol)

I see you went back the the off road tires too. Looks like you should clean the gearbox. It helps with looks and the gears wont bind as easily.

Just wondering, how did you do that?...

Anyways, here are the rest of the pics:

I've upgraded to 18 AWD wires for the motor

And I have gotten rid of the large skid plate because it broke off...

And yeah, I did switch back to the offroad tires because there wasn't enough grip in the teeth tires...

And for some more recent pictures, I moved the batteries on top of the chasis.

And because of that, I had to lift the body a little.

I really don't know why it didn't have some kind of failure..,

It was a completely stock drivetrain, so, maybe I just got lucky!
