Short Film Ideas? Need Help

ok im doin sort of a short film..comedy on Indian Parents. I am indian and you know how funny the accent and the way indian parents act is..so i makin a short film to show what us kids do and what our parents do its all comedy no seriousness what so ever. I have a few parts done but i need to find a good computer program to put together and add effects...title..credits..etc. Do u know any good programs that work..btw Windows Movie Maker blows!!

whats so bad about windows movie maker?lol i use it all time for small videos i make and you can do all the things you listed(add effects,titles,credits)

idk it keeps freezing on my computer!!!! everytime i try to insert a clip its frozen..EVERY GOD**** TIME!

hey do u noe russel peter? lol that guy is funny..

If you're using Windows Movie Maker make sure the auto save option is turned off. I know that has made my computer freeze before.

Window movie maker is total crap. Keep the auto save on, so atleast you dont lose your work when it crashes. Just sit it out. Also, save and export your video as you go, so your many clipped project is saved as one video clip, Then re-import it into a new file as you go. Keeps the # of clips down, and helps keep WMM stable. Thats how I got my Cake video to work. And that was about the last time I used WMM.

I use Roxio now, its great.

But your gonna have to live with WMM, theres nothing for free thats any good.
