Post Xmod offroading

Hi all! I was wondering about offroading......
Do you think that my new titan w/ offroad kit + precision bearings + stage 2 motor would be able to do offroading well?

Think?
I know it might do okay, but far from well.

With locked diffs and Neo mags in the stock motor it didn't do well, so I wouldn't expect much better.

Those are the minimum you could do. But thats a good start. Probably a better motor. If u want speed and torque, Go with a 180 motor. And later on u might want to get some suspension upgrades.

Lock the read diff.
Get some better rims and tires.

It depends on what kind of off-roading you wish to do. For crawling, no. If you just plan on running your truck through some loose dirt and stuff, it would do better with neo's, larger tires, and a locked diff. AWD is a must for any off-roading.

Welcome to the forum as well!

Well if your are going just for fun in the dirt go to Target and but a Radline motor 3 pack and install the "sp" motor in your offroader.(you have to switch the motor wires) and eventually get some super swampers or bigger tires.

The radline sp motor has the most torque with great acceleration and very decent speed for off roading. It has a lot of torque too, for crawling.

-Or, use the SP arm, neo mags, and a suitable gear setup.

No the sp motor has a ball bearing case and a good endbell. I use the stock gears and it runs perfectly. You could use neo's but in this motor they arn't necassary. Trust me. Today it beat my f-150 crawler w/tamiya gearbox in a crawling coarse. My f-150 couldn't crawl over it. It beat my f-150 in an incline test too. It ran all the way up too the top. while my f-150 fliped over at the bottom. Bottom line just the motor.

I see now, lol.

I would guess to use 10/25 gears with a custom motor spacer, I would guesstimate good speed and decent torque.

It is pretty good right now. THe 3 motor pack comes with 13,14, and 15 tooth pininon gears too, as well as 31, 32, 33t spur gears(use for the hs-55 mod!!). It is a great buy for 14 dollars.

My f-150 has more torque and can crawl really well. It just doesn't have as much speed. It can crawler over anything really. If the radline motor has the momentum it can get over any thing. If it doesn't it can't.

so you are saying that the radline motor kit from target is better than the servo ___55 (cant remember)
if so you just saved me a ton of time
even if its not as good it is still loaded with tons of torqe correct?
and this may sound like a stupid question but do i need to switch controllers or can i just use my xmod controller?

You use the xmods controller since u keep the xmods electronic package in it.
Hs-55 has a ton of torque but its a bit slow. So If ur going to go rockcrawling then its good but if u want speed and torque, go with the rad motor.

i havent seen the target motor yet, but does it fit right into the stock motor mount or does it also take modification and the changing of gears etc.
if so, i may just get the servo
