haha that happened to me before but it was with my beater body nothing broke execpt that i lost my exhaust

alright, well how about this? Instead of running li-ion, use a li-poly battery. Theres plenty of space for it to fit between the top and bottom chassis pieces and theres no part of the battery exposed to the ground directly.

pinoyboy,

you could do that, we will even have a chassis that will not have the AA knockouts for that reason.

I decided to use the AAs for the longer run time and price. AA are more avalible, cheaper and usually have higher mAH the cells I sell are 750 mAh vs the common 500 mAH.

On a different note for the ones concerned about the skid guuard: If you really want you could put the skid guard on, just don't crank it down so it pinches the steering arm, or put some small spacers under it.

If you want the skid guard to fit like stock, grind the thinkness under the guard away by 1/3 and it will fit. I have not released it like this because I am not sure if it will weaken it, I am still testing it.
