well assuming your looking for a drift car, you cant go wrong with any of those. But keep in mind they dont include electronics. so your going to fork out another 150 bucks in radios and servos and recievers and batterys and chargers and whatever else you might end up needing.
Plus you gotta build it your self. For your first one, i would recommend getting used. Not only will it be prebuilt and everything you need, it will be half hte price. then you can learn about it, learn to work on it when you break it, and have a good time enjoying it. Then when your familar to them, and want another, or a better one, then go for something more expensive and new. Just my .02 cents. |

http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXNUD2&P=7 That comes RTR meaning it has everything. If you are starting out in hobby quality, RTR is the way to go. Also Tamiya has great customer support and quality products http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXWWR6&P=ML This is a nice and authentic Gran Turismo Look and HPI is very popular and well known and have great products. Do you want to try off road or really only onroad? Trucks can do onroad buy yeah most people only associate them with offroad.

SPR, batteries and a charger will probably come out around $150. Heck, I have over $200 in batteries and charger, and that's just 3 batteries and 1 charger. Servos, receivers and controllers can be a TON more depending on what you get.
I've seen 2.4ghz systems for $300+ |

well im assuming he is a kid with not much money and an amature, so the lowest grade plain jain crap the hobby store offers will be more than enough for him. but now that i think about it, 150 would still be a long shot to get everything you need. id say 200 minimum now that i rethink it. |
