Audi R8 Finally out! (I'm impressed)

For the SKU, I might be reading it wrong but i believe its 600-0385, I uploaded a pic of the barcode on the back of the carton for you...

Due to the weather, I wasn't able to take outside photos, maybe tomorrow will be better, you'll have to make due with this for now:

*QUICK NOTE: THE GT-R FRONT CLIP WORKS ON THIS CAR, THE FRONT WHEELS ARE JUST SLIGHTLY CLOSER TO THE FRONT BUMPER BUT THEY DONT TOUCH, FRONT ALSO SEEMS TO SIT A LITTLE HIGHER.

Nope, not ATM. Maybe sometime in the summer is when new rumors would start and probably be released around December.

I demand some pictures of the inside of the body ! The car seems to ride a little high, time to lower that puppy.

No offense to you Kaze.

But it just looks weak, a little too plain and boring. I think the older and the 2 gen's along with gen 3's GTR and ZO6 look better then this one.

The R8 is a freaking sweet car but I dont think the company that manufacturer Xmod bodies did a good job on it at all...

I wonder if Kyosho will respond with an R-8 MA-010.

Even with an outrageous 10% sales tax you wouldn't pay 70 for an xmod. Unless he's looking at online stores.

so far out of the 3 released cars (not including the mustang) 2 were on the list of desired and requested cars posted in our "gen 3 wish list" thread-(but then again what car was not)-personally i'm quite surprised the audi r8 was not on the list-i think there was alot of hype behind both the gtr and r8 (1:1 cars) so they were chosen to be produced first (if anyone noticed) prolly to make some quick cash for the company as they assumed the cars would sell fast. it is hard to tell if they really looked at our list (both the gtr and corvette were on the list)

No offense to you...but you seem to be one of the only people to feel this way...maybe just don't get one if you thing it looks weak...the Z06 is horrible quality...and by far the worst...for example light shines thru the body and the wheels, ride height is poor, and many of the chassis are tweaked/twisted...

I 2nd that. The GTR and the Vette, but a bad taste in my mouth... they were crap and I thought well.. this is it, im done. This R8 does look alot better. Definately. But I feel.. without all the upgrades and body kits ... what's the point.

Well thats fine you can say that. I havent bought any Xmods for a really long time so I have no idea about their quality anymore.

After only seeing pictures I thought the GTR and Z06 looked a little better then this.

Oh yeah and your right I wont buy I wont buy one.

Well since you have no hands on experience with any of the cars, don't go trashing the car. The Z06 was a trash body, with quality and proportion problems every where.

im crying cuz i jus spent ma 2 week allowence on a mini-z mr01 w/ gpm and the day after i buy it i seee this. WTF!!!! if i knew this i woulda went to radio shack and bought it. waaaaaahaaaaaa

yea my radioshack said maybe on thursday they will have it. they say they didnt get it yet. what country/state u live in?? ur probaly rite. i jus looked at the cost of the total car on atomicmods, and the car i got. i saved over 70 bucks. but i got mine used. worth it though lol.

So, wait until next time, you'll have the money, and they'll be more in stock. Besides, with a MR01, its highly probably that Kyosho is going to make an R8 autoscale, which case you have access to a higher quality shell. Plus all the other Autoscale Assortment that offers variety in shells...

As another note, I tried to lower the front and rear of the body shell, but barely got 1mm down before the fake motor cover in the rear bumped into the Xmod motor on the chassis. So, it's screaming lower me!, but it can't really do it, the fake motor cover would have ot be removed.

im loving mine, but Kaze did you take those pictures with an actual city backdrop or is that a model city, because regardless which one those pictures came out very impressive !!!
