I like the rally Idea, but I strongly disagree with the truck tires. Go to a dime store and look at some models, or cheap toys or something and see if you can find something a bit more car-ish. The rubber just has to be fat, not overly large and treaded...

yeah i have to work on the camber any ideas? the reason there is camber is that the dogbones are too long, and i want more clearance so it kind of becomes a problem, i am going to check out my LHS to see if they have anything.

and the thought crossed my mind about the tires being to big but i currently don't have anything else, so yeah...

i actually got to this point and i frequently run the car with it. i need to know what your plans are for the front. i tried like you are doing by drilling out the holes and such but the arms drug the ground. no biggie so i used bigger tires. then the clearance wasnt any better than when i used the regular arms with the big tires. plus then the whole suspension lined up right.

hey guys,

got a HUGE update on the car.
i'll let the pics do justice::::

fixed up the rear suspension:

still have good suspension:

and then i am done with the chassis work!:

i dont know if i told you guys, but the truck stock plate was not long/wide enough so i had to do some fabricating.

even got the steering in! man that was a pain in the neck:

i used a truck tierod, too out the thing attached to it(NO idea what its called:hmm: lol) and used one from a car tierod. look at the pic carefully and u weill get it.

and it also got new rims and tires. i am using lego tires glued on to some deep dish lancer rims i made a while ago. those thongs are sick.

Very Short Summary:P:

i am using truck suspension parts, and a few custom fabricated parts. lego tires and still looking for a body

well, what do you guys think?

i am open to all suggestions.

You've created the best rally project I have seen. How far out are the tires with the body on? Or is that still in the works. You've created a new xmod line yourself Xmods rally. The rear plates that hold the knuckles look kind of weak, you should consider going over them with a little epoxy, or even hotglue.

the body doesnt fit on with those tires. atleast half the tire is going to stick out past the body. even if he made the body sit low enough he couldnt turn even if the wheels were able to spin. they are to large for the body to sit low, its going to be a monster truck car that runs over real rally cars like mine haha.

not necessarily he could use a 1/24th model kit as they are in general longer and wider than the 1/28th xmod body , something like this would look very kewl IMO \/ \/
