my first car was a 1976 triumph spitfire 1500.
i bought it when i was 14, when i turned 16 i literly gruw out
of it, (im 6 foot 3 inches with a size 16 shoe). so i had to sell it. but i got a good deal out of it, bought
it for $500, sold for $1800.

-all pioneer door speakers front and rear
-and it did have 2 10's and a 300W amp (all pioneer) at one time, but i sold that to a friend when i got the Av cuz i wanted money and my dad didn't need a sound system for that truck.

we still have that truck, but it barely ever gets driven and it has a lot of problems now (TBH it never did really run right) but my dad is planning on keeping it to give to my bro as his first truck (he's 12 now, in another 6 years this truck will be gone and my bro will get a newer one)

oh yeah, this truck still has mud caked up underneath it from when i drove it, and a big chunk of it fell off during hurricane Ike, my dad and i found that pretty amusing, seeing as i havnt driven it in over 2 years
is the tranny acting up? that seams to be Chevy's weak spot. they're awsome trucks, and are extrememly reliable (my dads, girlfriends sons '97 Chevy has been running months without antifreeze... guy at Autozone said if it was a Ford it wouldnt be running) and last almost forever if you get the tranny replaced.

nope, tranny is fine, we believe it has had an exhaust leak since we bought it (exhaust manifolds and other various parts were rusty from sitting in a garage with pool chemicals) and then the fuel filter was clogged cuz it had some bad gas run thru it when we let my cousin borrow it for a while, which probably gummed up the injectors...one thing leads to another...etc....you end up with a poorly running truck

at one time it was running on 5 cylinders, it needed a tune-up badly, and when driving it around it felt like the tranny was going out, but it was actually the computer acting up because there were 3 downed cylinders.

basically it's been thru hell (last time my dad ran it it got a huge rock chip that almost broke thru the window) and back, and by the time my bro is driving he'll probably get an 06 silvy or something, something 4x4 most likely

you have a 500 hp sti. and you THINK you coulda beat a GTI? are you kidding? only way i woulda been afraid of that gti in a car like that is if it had plexiglass windows and a fiberglass front end.

you also gotta be a super noob to wreck one of the most stable cars around. i got to drive the Perrin performance sti awhile back before they sold it. Besides coming around a corner and giving it way to much gas and the car just driving sideways, that thing was soo stable and blistering quick. its pretty hard to wreck unless your just being careless in the corners. in my 06 sti on nothing but eibach springs, i could whip in and out of lanes at 140 and not even give a **** about body roll.

My first car was a 1963 Chevy Impala covertable, blue with a black covertable top. I swapped out the 283 engine with a 396 big block. Crager SS rims with BF Goodrich low profiles. A real girl catcher.
