You can convert it to full electronics and all, but it won't be hobby grade, it will sit just below the line. Even then, you can tell a diffrence. Now, I haven't driven and Evo with the full GPM Driveline and gears and such, but that's alot of money to drop into it just to get it to roll smooth.

toy grade unless you go all out aluminnum and hobby electronics. mostly though, the thing that keeps it from being hobbey grade is elecs and suspension. anybody know where to buy the little ball stubs to pop a set of radline aluminum shocks on my truck?
but no matter. they're toy grade if you don't spend a fortune building it up from parts

I also upgraded my Gen 1 to full GPM aluminum. It made a difference in the predictability of the car. Comes-out of the corners and runs the straights much more reliable.
