me neither but im taking my good ole time with this letting the primer sit for about 6hours
prolly gonna do the same for the cobalt blue and then the clear coat
if not let it sit for even longer than that

exactly, i use to rely on the 15min drying thing the can says in the past but my paint jobs could hav been much better than what they turned out so now im taking no risks what so ever
im making sure the paint is absolutely dry
on the car itself, i hav the headlight housing and the windows masked off and when the car is dry and done with all the paint im gonna put on it im gonna let the masking stay there prolly for another day so that when i take it off it wont pull off paint that wasnt absolutely dry from around the window sills cuz that used to **** me off

Painting sucks. I just bought some clear coat to put over my paint (that I sprayed on over a week ago) and it started wrinkling the black paint which ****es me off. I think it's because it's fairly humid here. Anyway... scraped all the paint off, primered it, repainted... and now I have big gouges due to the razor blade... oh well. ****! Looks like a new body for me!

LOL
a razor blade
i remember when i used to do that
it can be very effective tho but u need to be careful with those not into the body cuz it will go very deep
and to keep it from slicing ur finger open

is it a blade thats in the clicky handle like an exacto kniffe
or is it a free hand box cutter (just the blade all by itself) ??

not too much longer now till its done being painted
the front and rear bumpers are primered, the side skirts, the ends of the rear wing, the base piece that the rear wing sits in, the roof scoop, and i just put the first light coat of primer on the body itself

its sitting on newspaper under a clear bowl so no bugs or pollen or anything get on the body

ill put the second and final light coat on it tommarrow
then i will get my cobalt blue or something close enuff to it, or baybe ill even see sumthing else i might like, so maybe ill end up with a diff color but in any case the car will be done by friday or saturday

It was an army of x-acto knife blades... hahahaha...it went pretty good... but as you know... with little crevices and what not it gets annoying trying to scrape it all off! Anyone have a WRX body they want to sell?! hahahah

ya stupid crevices
i scraped down my 350Z to the white plastic cuz i was too lazy to paint it at the time
now its just the beater car
best thing is u dont see any scratches till u pic up the car and look real hard sine the car is natural palstic white

Hahahah nice! I scraped mine down to the light blue... I've primered it... put a couple coats on, wet sanded with 800 grit, and am letting it dry overnight in a "dust proof" container! ahahahah... even with the gouges... it doesn't look TOOO bad... heh heh.
