its cool man not everyone is right all the time and your guess at hp is down by like 50+ hp the 289 is the ford small block v8 that came in the 1966-1978 mustang among other cars and again im sorry about correcting you its your car you know more about it than i do

My neighbor has a '67 Cougar XR7. The tranny decided to blow all the forward gears last month as well. Working restoration:




I was there the day it 1st fired up... My word, open headers, this car was knarly.

My bad on the type-o though.. It's debadged of the XR-7 badges, the little posts that hold them to the body broke.

I'm more talkin' about the subject of box vans as being purty boring pieces of machinery. None too much interesting about the E-series.
