I dont want to give an unbias answer here,
So I will say this:

- At first the xmods are simple in design
and in power. This is beginner entry level.

-Durability at the 1st level is pretty good
considering.

-Price for the xmod is a little on the high
side for a RS product and for the small
size it is.

-The Xmod comes RTR (Ready-to-run)
meaning it has everything needed to
get it on the road except the four "AAA"
and 9v Batteries.

-Also comes with manuals and decals.

-If he wants to Hop-up his Xmod the RS
pricing isnt half bad conisdering....

-If he decides to modify and hop-up his
xmod through aftermarket then it
becomes a little more expensive.
(cXp,Atomicmods,etc....)

To sum it all up
These make great indoor racers for the
beginner and for the advanced alike.
Keeps kids out of trouble and out of
your hair!

My Advice!!

Default Parents and Youth.

Like in a marriage, sometimes the other party say things to note another point.
Economically, XMODS are priced low.
Financially, there are few who can toss around the cash.
Responsibly, If am XMOD keeps you off the streets and humble, so be it.
Realistically, It is an opportunity for the two of you to connect, since he has the wallet and you have desire.
Maybe you can do more chores and learn greater responsibility.
Perhaps your Dad will see the opportunity to make an excellent memory in your heart...

Other than that, I have (9) XMODS that run. The rest are parts.
I gave away (4) of them, seeing that even the older peeps have fun with them.
So, its not about the physical size of them, bc they really act like a real car and can teach you some useful (responsibility) lessons about driving and caring for your car.

Yes, they are a waste of money, but the real question that needs to be posed is if they are a FUN way of wasting money, and that they are. They're much better than spending your money on drugs...

They waste money just like any fun hobby would, But they are a better past time then other alternitives. They are less of a waste then booze or drugs. tehy should not get you in any trouble thier are worse things to spend your money on.

you have to have something to do on your free time.

Well, if you have li-ions and/or a hot motor, you could get a speeding ticket, but I doubt any cop would do that.

well they can be a waste and not a waste at the same time
there a waste cause the cost so much , then u mod them and if your lucky they dont break after u spend so much on them.
but ... there a good investment if you enjoy modding them and racing them with friends.
