Default My Lightning Project

Well, here's some pics of my Lightning project in progress. It's taking a while but coming along nicely I think. Hood is a custom "sniper" style and body is roughly an inch and a half shorter than when I began. I am trying to decide on a color for it but am currently leaning towards gunmetal. Still alot of work to do but i'll keep you updated.

Thanks..the only reason I cut out the stepsides was because I had to shorten the bed. I wasn't thrilled about it at first, but i've gotten used to it now and think it looks alot sleeker.

I had a friend whos uncles all had lightnings, they tricked them out and everything. My favorite on was a red and black one that was slammed to the ground with airbags.

Any of you guys familiar with any websites where I can check out some tricked out lightnings? I'd kinda like to do something a little different than just a solid body color. Thanks.

speakers, no Nitrous (I hate the word nos, id rather N.O.S.) tanks, Not in an SVT lightning, and Neons, definatly not. Tonnau cover, yes Aluminum grill, yes Lowered, yes Custom hood,Im liking what I see.

P.S. what really ****es me off is when I run SVT lightning on GOOGLE.ca and the first picture that comes up is a SRT 10 RAM. Not what I want to see.

The problem with cramming stuff ( ie: spkrs, nos tanks, and whatever else) is that there just isnt any room. The way this truck is going to sit is LOW and i mean very low!! That means that means that the back half of the motor only sits about 1/2" below the top of the truck's bed. Therefore I wont have anything in the bed at all. Just a molded on bed cover. Plus im trying to keep this thing as light as possible. Thanks for the input guys!

You can't really, but you can set up some electric motors to do the same thing.

That looks very cool. hmm im gona suggest a paint job for it... first paint a gloss black then after it dries, mask it off in lightning patterns then paint the lightning blue... thats just what i think would look sweet on your truck. cant wait to c how it comes out.
