Default Corvair! The power, traction, and stamina to go just about anywhere!

I love this old video, what other manufacturer's advertisment includes off roading, rolling, spinning out, and crossing rivers?

Old school hoon action!

Corvair? Wasn't that America's attemp at a RR car? Or was that something else?

It's a Corvete with (Nike Air) Force's in the trunk, right?

It was really the answer to a question nobody asked, lol.

If Ralph Nadar condemns, it must be good!

That's what I said:

"Wasn't that America's attemp at a RR car?"

For those that don't know, RR is car-people talk for Rear-Engine, Rear-Wheel-Drive. See below:

RR = Rear-Motor, Rear-Wheel-Drive
FR = Front-Motor, Rear-Wheel-Drive
MR = Mid-Motor, Rear-Wheel-Drive
FF = Front-Motor, Front-Wheel-Drive

Then there is AWD cars, I just don't know notation for that.

What does your VW have to do with the Corvair?

Anyway, I love the body styling of that car... How much do they go for nowadays (a running project car)?

The Corvair was America's attemp at a RR Car. The Corvair (according to 123Vette) was Chevy's car to go against the VW Bug or Beetle. He Obviously likes/has a Vdub-Bug, and will stick to that...

Vdub ftw!

Wasnt much of a stab at the bug, much bigger. It was just a shot at a RR air cooled car. Turbo charged as well.

Have you guys even watched the video?

i whatch it and have even driven the car it loved it, imo it would beat a bug any day, and i know what RR means and it defintaly was a condenter to the bug the only thing was the bug was cheaper so more people suck with it, and the stupid book pretty much ruined the cars rep and it was even based on fact

whats best about corvairs and early bugs is that the old swing axles, take a corner real hard and get a little three wheel action and then go in the ditch because the camber was about 30 degrees positive when the wheel first came down.
