they shud work fine, there only 7.2 volts....ur xmods EP can handle 8.4 volts...u will be find so dont sweat it

this does have to do with teh batteries but do u need the front deck?
i was thinking of running without it for weight reduction

No you do not need a front deck. Like no one uses them. All it is , is dead weight.

First, they are too big, second, that site sells AA li-ions, and third, I find the front deck adds some stiffness to the chassis.

They could work make sure you buy the right charger. I would keep the front deck on but you can drill holes in it but not too many if you have a bad crash you could break somthing

I purchased this battery model, thinking that it would fit, but it is too big.

Maybe if you have a larger body on it...
