Arson!

so i was in science, talking about space, when suddenly i hear the sirens go off. just two days ago, there was a false alarm, so everyone figured it was that. we were outside for an hour. at the 20 minute mark, everyone assumed the ceiling fell (because there was no visible smoke and that already happened earlier this year). at about the 40 minute mark, we realised it was real. when we finally got to go back, i saw a firetruck. now we were absolutely positive it was real. what it was was an arsonist who lit a toilet paper dispenser thing on fire. there is a $10,000 reward to whoever finds who did it. i think i know who did it, or at least someone who helped. i'll call tomorrow after school.

so anyway, has anyone else had arson at their school?

No arson attempts or threats, but we have had bom threats.

And yes, I did mean bom, not bomb. The smartasses couldn't even spell bomb correctly. Welcome to the American Education System.

Nope, but one time FOREVER ago(pre-me arriving) we had a bomb threat at my Jr. High. Friday we're doing a full, freakin' scale lock down, and are being evac'ed to the elementary school next door, and catching the busses there. I mean full scale! 'copter, SWAT, snipers, firing blanks, etc..

I believe the being evacuated part, but not the S.W.A.T. and copters.
We've been evacuated to the elementary school next to ours many times, and also to a Food Lion parking lot...

Anyway, last year, we had a wave of bomb threats. We had about 40 bomb threats between November and January.
Half of them were racists, and claimed they would make a bomb that would only kill black people.
It was actually funny that people thought they could do that.

And someone blew up a battery.

Oh, and one year, the teacher demonstrated how flammable some kind of liquid was, so a student decided they would try and caught their clothes on fire.
I though it was funny as hell, he got what he deserved.

no arson over here but there were two kids who were packing loaded 9mm.s and said they were gunna shoot everyone that was wearing red ( our school color ) because they were crips the swat team came and got them before any thing happen tho.

Arson, no.

But we where on lock down a good few hours a few years ago. Swat was in the circle, nieghborhood closed off. Kid had a gun, went off in class. He ran like hell. Missed lunch, ****it.

Then we where on lock down on Haitian Pride Day (not unusual in these parts). Police helicopter, extra police on duty in the area already. everyone knows something will go down. And it did. At lunch. A few teachers, security, and some kids got jumped. But not pretty fights. A few people where Tear Gassed and Tazered. There where easily 35 cop cars inside school grounds, as well as the copter and the rest of the area. We made the news.

But it's nothing new. Well, Tazering and Gas is, but the rest is normal now.

arson is intentionally setting fire to someone else's property. how is that not arson?

This one time one kid called another a butt head, and they pushed each other and then the National Guard came in, and sniped them from the roof...

one time, a kid said another was a baby, so they sent in a tank and it blew up the gym and killed him. true story, i know i was in the gym and saw it.

No in fact I go to school in a rich(ish) district, live in the up-n-coming town of the up-n-coming county in a state where a murder is a HUGE thing (last i heard it waas up to 6) but y'know, precautiounary crap.

I think i heard somewhere it was also an exercise for the police too. Plus around here it gets pretty boring. plus a lot of things between teens go on around at my school, so i think its best they know the school.
