Default My Savage turned XL

...once again, this rig just went under the wrench!!

~ HPI XL TVP chassis installed.

Going out tommorow to find other parts i need such as:

~ 49T Spurgear
~ .21 BB Pullstart for the Wasp26 engine
~ Lexan body to fit the longer wheelbase (XL)

After this items are complete then ill be after the Super HD wide axles for this beast (8x11x59mm).

just for kicks.....bwhaha!!

What is the wheel base comparatively from normal to XL?

Looks nice, Torredo.

it's about 2 inches longer. On a normal savage the space behind the engine isn't there. I have my xl tvps on there way, I'm going to be outing the fuel tank behind the motor.

ill be installing the midtank mod later on, but i need a different fuel cell. So the HPI one (seen) will do until i do so.) better things up my sleeve right now anyhow.

i think ill be transforming the suspension over to the HPI 5B sometime in the near future aswell. Seen an article on this one over on S-C, looks like it would definetly soak up some terrain that even my alloy shocks couldnt handle.

well....i do have over 3k invested in this rig to date, so im not too concerned about spending another few hundred dollars to beef the suspension up. Besides...the alloy HPI shocks already installed on this thing cost me 150.00 anyhow. itll be SaWeeeeeT!

also got the pullstart for my Wasp26 and a 49T spur last night, so all i need for now is a new bigarse body. Looking at possibly 1:5th scale or such?

I still need to paint bumpers/details and do some clean trimming around fender wells, etc... and still need to cut the hole in the front windshield to allow for air to enter for the airfilter/motor.

Also working on Project S25-II which is pretty much 75% complete now, so by spring i should have a 2nd Savage (stock form)
