yeah the motor in there is prolly weak compared to the motors designed for xmods.you can try it though maybe it actually works.

you could try it. but I doubt it's got much torque.

actually. I doubt it runs on very high voltage, so if you hook it up to the xmod....I bet it'll either be awesome, or fry....

im betting on that its gonna fry. they arent meant for that kind of voltage. i hooked one up to 4 AAA batts and killed the motor.

if you REALLY want to know if they will work then open the can, count the winding and post the results.
the can looks to be a 130.

all the same you have to realize that those motors run off a lower amperage and are made to spin a counterweight.
the rpms are low compared to xmod motors.
think of the reverse effect, what would happen if you put a xmod motor in your ps controller?

Maybe you guys have something different. but looking through the translucent covers of my Playstation controllers, They're definatey different size. the PS2 ones are both much to big in diameter, and about 1/3 the length. The right side motor on my PS1 controller is similar shape, and scale, but still looks to be about 3/4 the size of a 130 motor...

If you did manage to get it on would it work in reverse? cause on my controlers the motor only moves in one direction.

I thought about trying that, but my buddy did it and he said it took him a long time(soldering, fitting it in, making time to work on it)and after he got it in after like 5 seconds the board fried. But hey trial and error.

its an electro magnet motor, if you reverse the polarity it will run in the opposite direction.
same thing as wiring your motor backwards on your xmod, it wont hurt anything but when you pull the trigger you go in reverse and when you push the trigger you go forward.

a stock servo motor would work great for a winch.

and no blindman i mean electro magnetic. hence the electricity and magnets.
these are the 130 motors that the xmods use.
if you reverse the polarity you reverse the direction.
