different radio on xmods?

ok if this a remake of an old thread im sorry, i search a ton for this info. ok i want to use a decent receiver on my xmod but before i buy batterys for it i want to know can i use it. if not ill use it on my 1/10 buggy

no you cant use a decent receiver unless you have a hobby grade speed control. When it comes to hobby grade electronics, is all or nothing
