Default Project 8

I just picked up my audi r8 today and took out the inner mounts to mock up the ride stance. im going to have to raise it a lil bit for clearance but its a good start. once i get the mounts figured out its going to be time for paint!

*sorry for the poor camera phone pics. i will have better ones next time

Thats a hot stance. Good start. True Xmod Ricers dont use mounts when they aren't driving. *points at self*

Great project start. Also, I suggest uploading photos to photobucket and use the 'insert image' button on your reply screen. Some people are too lazy to click links

well figuring out the mounting was alot easier than i thought. i flipped the front mount and glued it upside down for the front. in the rear i had to remove the back window, the fake motor, and the lil tab by the rear bumper. i then took the clear tab and smoothed the top, flipped it around and screwed it into the center hole where the rear bumper attaches to the body.
i got the stance i was looking for. now i got to do some trimming inside the fenders for clearance and figure out what im going to do for the suspension.

*i will post pics later when i get off work tonight

Default Update March 22

Just finished trimming down the inner fenders for extra clearance. sanded down the body and masked it off for paint. just sprayed the primer and waiting for that to dry. project is coming along smoothly.

decided to go with a dark wine color. i think it will look nice and give it a lil class.

what do you guys think?

The red is looking good!

Good color choice for the R8.
