thanks guys!
i'm glad you're diggin' it.

sorry to jump around on you guys but i can't do too much more to the engine bay until i get some paint on it and i don't want to paint the shell until i get the interior built.

at this point, the interior is just about finished.
just a bit of cleaning, repainting and a few details here and there and it will be a done deal.
WHOLE LOTTA PICS!!!These are all updates from another page so please forgive the quotes.

Quote:
i started off by nipping the rear dashboard from the stay, got that and the rear seats cut up to fit the motor, stuck it in the body and got the sides lined up and tacked into place, then tacked the front dash into place.

rear seat bottoms sectioned to fit.

fun stuff......
cutting/lowering front seats.
i know from the pics that this looks pointless but it took almost 3/8" from the overall hiegt plus allowed me to re-glue the seat backs at a more relaxed angle dropping the hieght even more.

seating mockup.

i'm not sure why i didn't simply stick the seats to the chassis here but i decided to layout some floorboards.....(not sure if i'm going to do carpet yet.....think it would be a bit of overkill?:boot: )

now, remember that suprise i had coming for the interior?
well,it's not so much an item as it is something i've never even seen done on a model let alone an Xmod.

it's another one of those things that not many people will even notice at first glance and probably will only be appreciated by a few but i think the it's pretty **** cool we'll get to that ina minute though....

a splash of paint and a mockup.

here's where it starts to get interesting..
i built a box with a plexi front to house some of my new favorite material, fibre optic strands!

another "upgrade kit plastic" LCD screen.

i have a bit of trimming to do on the decal itself but here it is on the LCD screen.

that's about all the building i got done today.
here's a couple shots of it with white light.

and here's some other colors i'm toying with.

Quote:
i got a little more paint on it before the beer took hold and i had to call it a night.
sorry for the fuzzy pics but holding the camera steady was starting to become rather taxing....
BTW,the "LCD screen" is not on in these pics.

Quote:

now it's time to clean it up,repaint it and set it aside.
i think i might actually get to work on the body soon.......:hsrun:

cheers doods

The level of detail here is something else,it really is.This has to be one of the best builds i have seen in a long time. Can't wait to see this with the finished body on it.

I feel bad for the competition, this is definitely a step above anything I've seen. Kind of reminds me of the detail used by the miniature killer on CSI. Astounding work.

96SVT281 please follow forum etiquette on bumping old threads as for the past day or two you have being doing this non-stop.

When a thread has not been updated in the last few months it usually means it is dead, if you have questions or comments on the content of the thread we request that you PM the original thread poster, thread that are as old as this one (7 months give or take) only the original poster should be bumping it with updates on the topic.

If you continue to do this you will receive an infraction, you have been warned.
