Teasers are pointless! Give us the goods, please!

Diggin' the color, though. Nice.

Cheers,

Me and sky do this whole "color the whole shell the main color" thing when we do paint jobs. The badge is merely going to be painted silver again by hand. It was by my request, I don't care if there isn't a scaled "NISSAN" written in the badge.

but if you paint it first with liquid masking(somewhere between rubber cement and elmers white glue) then all you have to do is pull it off at the end and you have the original detailed emblem.
it's the same exact ammount of work and brush strokes involved and you get the added benefit of realism.
i just don't see the logic.

ah, well... i don't really have an answer for you logic wise... lol I have no experience with liquid masking so i just said i don't care about the badge, you can repaint it later.

As for sky's technique, you're right I think he does use liquid masking though I'm not 100% on that (he doesn't really tell me these things lol)

I'll have to keep this one in mind next time I repaint an ASC, although most of the time the painted on badge will just show the original bits of color and it kinda defeats the point.

Looks really good! Love the color, and I am looking forward to see a pic of the whole body.

in most cases i can paint the LMasking right up to the edge of the emblems and decals.
if not,you let it dry and cut and remove the excess just like tape.

IMO, it's not a replacement for tape but it lets you mask off those parts that you cant see through the tape or are a PITA because of positioning or size.
