yeah that sounds false because from wikipedia that during shooting for revenge of the fallen (transformers 2) that 3 saleens with the same stickers from the 1st one were spotted.

I totally buy into the Audi R8 Xmod being released sometimes in late spring to coincide with Transformers:Rise of the Fallen.



I figure they were gonna release the Audi and Nissan GT-R with the movie, but because we threw such a fit, the let the GT-R go early. Radioshack jumped the gun and released the GT-R too early to cash in on the new movie.

Could we see a red GT-R at movie release???

barricade will always be a mustang because GM is where Transformers got permission to use cars from, so they decided to have a badgeless ford be the bad guy. audi is not a gm competitor.

That seems true but wasn't Bumblebee (the new version) built on the Saleen mustang chassis for the movie? I think thats what it said in an article I read on the movie before it came out.

no, it was built on the zeta platform, which was already in use on a few of GM's australian cars.
same platform as the commodore, pontiac G8, a few other car i don't know.

For what its worth, I rolled over to my local Shack and did some investigating. Here's what I found...

1) In the AWD kit the instructions list the Audi R8 as one of the cars that uses the medium drive shaft. (most of us already have already found this)

2) the local RS geek behind the counter agreed that another release of more vehicles to coincide with Transformers:Rise of the Fallen is VERY possible. He had no proof, just seemed logical to him and rest of staff.

Just to clarify, The camaro that starred in the movie was produced by Saleen, Yes I said Saleen, but the donor car used was the Australian GTO chassis GM uses. So I can see where the confusion starts where you get the camaro is mustang.

Bumblebee was an '06 GTO, tuned by Saleen, with the GM R&D molds used in the original concept of the '09 Camaro.

Wasn't the aussie version, it was the US version. You can still see the GTO guages in the cluster of the Camaro's dash.

Saleen is a tuning company, who does Chevy as well.
