Default Mmmmmmm GPM parts.

I just bought a bunch of them.

Front and rear shock mounts.
Front and rear lower control arms.
Front and rear gear box covers, rear gearbox will be coming within a couple weeks.
Front knuckles, already have rear.
Front tie rod, + steering plate.
Rear skid plate.
Still trying to find some silver front dogbones, I have rears already. The rest of the GPM parts are blue, just the dogbones are silver.

Got it all for $80 shipped. Now I need to get the battery cover, shocks, and front gear box. Anyone have them in blue PM me.

Plenty of pictures once this stuff gets here. I CANNOT wait.

Edit: Thinking about the aluminum stiletto chassis, like this:

And, I will be going with lith's if I get that chassis.. as it looks like I would have no choice.

Sounds nice. One thing tho is you are going to get the stiletto chassis get atomicmods not ebay. Ebay's is cheap and not durable.

They look the same to me pretty much? Don't see much difference really, besides the price.

Will I need to upgrade my FET's if I get liths?

No i don't believe you will need a fet upgrade of any sort. fets, spider, bug, v2.2 board.

the screws are gold on ebay's and silver on am's the paint is a little different too. Ebay's is made very quickly and carelessly. You get what you pay for.. Ask blt he told me all about this and if you want to safe a couple bucks make your own chassis.

Edit: Look at the "atomic symbol" too There is a difference. Ebay can't copy atomicmods without their approval. I don't think am(atomicmods) would do that to a single person on ebay, maybe a company(xi).

So, I could buy the chassis off of Ebay, get the stilleto chassis hardware kit from AM and still spend less and have good quality really.

The pieces of steel themselves wouldn't really be a problem, and I'm not worried about the symbol, I wish it wasn't there really.

Hi Sean, the ebay chassis suck, sorry, but I had one, the standoffs were too small, the hex nuts stripped, make your own chassis, You know, I am going to dremel tonight, for your Camaro, this is right?

Maybe you'll find a surprise with your truck for the Camaro
Li-ion or LiPo?
I am making 2 Ion packs right now.

There is a big difference. SO atomicmods is the better way to go. I am in the process of a custom chassis right now. I just need a couple more things. Good luck.

So, what I said in my post above yours about getting the Ebay chassis + the AM chassis hardware kit, that would be better wouldn't it? Probably save a little green too.

Yup, this is for Bumblebee. Surprises are always nice.

As far as the Li-ion or LiPo, I'm still a little new to all that.. what exactly is the difference as far as power and what not? Advantages and disadvantages?

Not trying to be a smartypants, but this eBay GPM is Hot Racing, they want more hits, and fool people, but it isn't GPM, trust me, I have both.
Just a FYI.

Oh, you're saying the chassis Ebay is advertising really isn't GPM?

For the rest of the GPM parts those were from hobby-smart.com

I couldn't find any package deals on Ebay, this seems the better way to go anyway.

Even if you got your chassis of eBay and bought the hardware components off of AM, you're still at a loss, since the chassis plates are made of different materials. AM uses aluminum for their normal ones and titanium for there high end Stilettos, eBay likely uses stainless steel or low quality aluminum.

Seems like I will be skipping the Ebay chassis all around then. When the time is right, I'll get the AM one or try making my own possibly.

I decided it was time to get a little more serious with one of my X-mods chassis wise, I'm thinking I might be doing some GPM parts on the F-150 next when I decide to order more. Does anyone know if they make GPM for the lift kit? I will be working on the Titan before the F150 gets GPM though.

Nope, but you can get the dog bones alloy. Use 123Vette's tut on the dog bone slippage.

http://www.xmodsource.com/forum/showthread.php?t=11086

Get some pics when the alloy arrives. Seems like your going to get a bullet proof driveline. Almost.

It will be completely GPM when I am done. I've been wanting to do a full GPM chassis for a while now, so I'm going to go as far as I can. I had some spare money and Sunday is my b-day, so the g/f said this is my b-day present. WOOT.

Later on when I have more spare money, front and rear diffs, front and rear gear box's, shocks, dogbones, battery cover, and the stiletto chassis from AM later on after I order those parts. I think that will cover pretty much everything, oh and I need to get some bearings for it too. I have one set on the way already, but they are for my F150 as they are much needed in it.

in your post you said you need an aluminum battery tray, but if you go with stiletto in the end, there is no point really, unless they're both for different cars...

Uhhh... I guess that's true.

Kind of forgot about that.

UPDATE: Just got an e-mail saying it would take 7 to 14 business days to ship it to me. Holy crap that's TOO LONG.

Well hobby smart is over seas in japan or china. When i go my package from them a couple days ago it said some foriegn place i have never heard of.

Am chassis all the way or a custom chassis. If i can perfect my design(done by hand, no cnc) i might sell some on ebay. I have one for li-on and one for 2 two aaa cell battery trays and/or upgrade to lipo later.

lipo/lion?: what do you want this car to be? track? drag? etc. How fast do you want to go. Use lipo for very low turn motors 20 and under(i am not the motor and lithium dude, i just got into that like you) and li-on 21 and up. I am going with a 35t motor or so and li-on. SO if your going with stock fets li-on.

And fieldfairy he's going with the Li-ions, and it may not be FS.
