Electro-Magnetism Club
Hey guys, my school has an Electro-Magnetism Club and i wanted to know if you guys have clubs similar to this one, we are currently making a motor, here is the link to the Kits and stuff, we all got Kit #8

hmm i know its not brushed but idk.. i dont think its any... its just a piece of plastic switch magnets.. and another piece of plastic wrapped in a metal coil.. then attached to the battery pack.. ill probably finish it over thanksgiving break, and ill post pix of it(and if ur wondering, no it wont fit any r/c car its not meant to)

We did something similar to this in my basic electronics class, but it was much more simple. All we used was a length of insulated wire, two paper clips, a "D" battery and a large magnet. Its a good way to watch the motor principle in action.

im thinking about connecting it to an xmod board.. so then i can have a on/off switch and i can also upgrade it to a 6-cell.

sorry for a double post, but i made it go off of an xmod gen3 board
 , not that fast, considering im using AAA's instead of AA's and the connection isnt as strong, but i can always make it a 6-cell
