lol yea they probably would get jacked quick. My uncle put 20's on his new dodge ram 2500 and he wore out the steering components since the larger aftermarket tires take up more space on the road which takes more bumps and wore em out quicker. we just swapped the stock ones back on and sent it in since it was still under warrenty lol

[QUOTE=civicblack10;163027][QUOTE=Donziikid;162980] What lake do you plan on placing this boat into? We're located on Secord Lake/Titabawasee River between Gladwin and West Branch, MI.

well, that shouldnt have happened, most 1500 Rams come with stock 20's, i dont see why the 2500 wouldnt be able to handle them.
the intermittent steering shaft on my truck makes popping noises, but its not worn down, it just needs to be re-greased (i got it replaced under warranty once) and its a minor problem with all GM SUVs no matter what the rim size

Big rims are no-go for towing. That, and many aftermarket rims aren't good to handle the stress of towing. Unless you dig bendz in your 24 inch rimz

Wow! There is soooo much room in that engine bay.
Corsa thru-hull? Nice.

This thread is kinda old but im going to bring it back with some pics of our boat out of storage as well as our new boat we recently bought with a video. Anyway here it is, our 2003 Chaparral 265 SSI and our 1998 Crownline 266 LTD Enjoy.
Crownline Chaparral After a clean up, still using the trusty avalanche. Both |

That may be true but both these boats have "Captains call exhaust" which means it normally sends the exhaust out the out the rear which gets deadend by the water but when you flip the switch it send it straight out the side giving it nice deep loud throughty sound. I love to use it when people who are taking there sweet *** time down the river, go to pass, flip the switch and give it to them.

Doesn't make it any less badass sounding. Cam'd out 454 is no joke.

Typically the exhaust is ported out the prop or the drive on boats that do not have thru-hull. However, typically, thru-hull exhaust is typically ported out the rear of the boat, not the sides. You, sir, have a real oddity from my perspective!
Still an awesome boat. Now you need to get video of it doing what it's meant to do; throw a huge wake and intimidate those darn wave-runners! Cheers, Kyle.

Yea, I personally like the side exhaust better because the exhaust noise bounces off the side walls and other boats in our river. It sounds really badass when we go through out local bridge (low and skinny) and hammer it. Ill try to get a video of it once we launch it, the water is still really cold. Although i really like the look of the crownline, you cant beat the chaparral inside. Its a bit wider and the layout of the interior is well thought out. The crownline looks like its going 100 sitting still in the water. BTW the Crownline only has 100hours on it and the chaparral has only 80hours.
