Default XXX: Give it a name. XMA010D Kit

Uh, I need a good name for this chassis kit. It has been discussed on the Modder Convention thread, so if you were apart of that then you know about this kit. It does a few things.

1. Adapts the suspension for use with Mini-Z AWD (MA010) knuckles,CVDs and suspension.
2. Top plate designed for a clean install of Mini-Z/iwaver/RV electronics.
3. Bottom plate is a modified "Stilletto" which is made to accomodate a custom 4s AAA pack (Which I make)
4. Lower CG, Lighter total weight.

All in All in is a one kit does all, for improved handling and smooth riding.

This is the proto-type which I recieved today. There are a few adjustments I need to have Brett do to the CAD drawing and then I will have a small quantity order made.

*Note, I just put the wires and batteries/electronics on to see the final concept, they are not actually installed. As you can see it makes for a clean install. There are more photos, discussion and a VIDEO on the thread- XXX: Modder's Convention. The video shows how well the rear suspension is improved. Enjoy.

The kit as I got it back from the laser cutting.

That kit looks nice, wish I still have a evo chassis, lol. How about name it "MA-010 Conversion Set"?

Its not Lipo, its pretty much just 4 AAAs soldered together to make a 4 cell battery pack, but what you do need is a good battery charger converted to micro deans plugs

BTW Trix, how much does this lighten the car by?

That's right. When I was designing this I considered racing reality. This chassis is designed to take a 4s AAA pack, which is what is used for racing. The Lipo was to much and wouldn't have been a good option.

How much travel is there in the new setup vs. a stock mini-z? That spring looks almost totally compressed.

Ill get all those specs as soon as I have it fully adjusted.. As for those springs... They are from the sway bar kit, so they are very tight and compressed stock... They are just the only ones I have right now.. I ordered a set of different springs.. Plus there is an adjustment I need to make to the design which will give it some more travel.

Thank you for this post. It has truly made me happy.

I would be forced to purchase this chassis at any cost if it were named the Bob Saget Chassis.
