Default Xmodracer1's Upstate Slash Bash *WARNING* Contains a very dirt truck

Remember the Sidewinder ESC is not waterproof, just water resistant. Yesterday, monday it gave off the magical smoke inside its waterproofing, not my smartest idea. No biggie though.
Copied directly from Beatyourtruck.
Ok I have a lot of pics from this weekends bashing. It was drizzling on sunday upstate, was nice on saturday but anyway I didn't think waterproofing my ESC was necessary, it wasn't but the truck...well it got muddy and dirty. It was a pain to clean off but it was fun while it lasted. The chunk from the bumper absorber has been gone for months...yeah. On that very rough terrain the dirt paws ripped it up and the truck did its first mid air backflip then frontflip in the same minute. Going up the hill at WOT(I'd say a 30* incline maybe more, 45* maybe) went up, hit the tree, drove about 5 feet up it, left the tree(gravity hehe) and did a complete backflip no damage or bad landings. Oh also that dent on the front end of the truck was the first weekend of camping season, a tree attacked my truck while it was jumping at WOT. Well anyway on the way down, hit another tree but it did a very fast front flip this time. Was definitely fun. Last picture is after I cleaned it up. The stuff on the motor was in fact dry mud, same with the ESC.

Cleaned up shot! LOL
I did also get some nice jumps off natural jumps and stuff, nice wheelies but it was drizzling, didn't wanna take out my camera.. All pics were taken on the deck of our camper

How the hell did the smoke escape with all that gunk covering every possible escape route? Lol. Sounds like an awesome time, even if you did lose an ESC.

Cheers,
Kyle.

Nah ESC Still works. Smoked the esc yesterday not on sunday during the bash. WD40 helps though so its still working. Yay. Oh and FloydFanYotaMan, this I believe is the RC I have the most money dumped into with upgrades, and replaced parts.

Niiice. I had my body that dirty the other day from a run in the rain, but the chassis wasn't near that bad.. just threw it in the bathtub and gave it a shower.

I think I'll be too afraid to drive it in any wet condition once my Mamba shows up. Guy that I got my Slash from offered me a roller Slash for $60.. all I will have to do is get a motor as I will have the ESC, I'm thinking about doing it so I will have a waterproof one when I feel the need.

Humm...unless I strap it to the chassis than no. It is an HD Camera, well not camcorder but a camera so its kinda big too. I get about 30-35min run times. Pretty crazy. And going full throttle a lot I get about 25-30 min run times.

Thanks man! I love my Slash. Still have the original XL5 ESC and original titan motor, tx, rx and everything from the stock stuffs...besides rear wheel nuts. With my Sidewinder its just crazy. Especially at the campground with them Pro Line Dirt Paws on the rear, they tear up offroad terrain(and any amount of snow from 1" to 16" well thats the most they got tested in by me in snow ) but if you get um, never run on road with those tires on the rear. If you do expect bald tires. Brushless power is just insane as said before, get used to the stock slash first, I traction roll a ton with this thing and I either run Talons from my Nitro Stampede or Dirt Paws on the rear, both are better than stock Slash rears with BL Power.
