Default Adjustable Differentials

have any of u guys got the adjustable differentials 4 the evo xmods? im gettin my set tomrrow 4 my GT. i ordered front and rear diffs, along with the composite gears.ill let u guys know how they r when i get them. heres a pic of the adjustbale diffs 4 those who havent seen them yet......

where did you get them? how much? What are the benefits?

i got them from AM, they cost around $20, and their much smoother than the GPM differentials, and u can lock them anytime u want

Are they ball diffs were you can adjust slip, or is it just a a locker in there?

they look pretty much the same layout as my awd z ones,be carefull if you are tightening up to lock them,you will pit the diff plates and they wont be smooth anymore

You can tighten them just enough to lock, but not so much that it messes up the plate, I guess. I used to do this to the awd ball diff from the Gen1s, by putting a small washer in it. Then you adjusted the diff strength with tightening/loosening the screws.

also,you can get a proper thrust bearing for the z diffs i bet it would fit the xmod diffs too(smoother for car use)

OMG....i got my diffs and gears 2day, and my mustang launches so perfectly when the rear diff is locked....RWD or AWD, the torque is amazin, i was like

their ball diffs, but u can lock them anytime u want and i didnt say they give u more torque, i just had a pretty fast launch wit my GT. AM says these r mini-z quality differentials
