Default carbon vs alloy stilleto chasis...?

im guessing the carbon stilleto is lighter than the alloy and the alloy is stronger than the carbon, right? but is the differance noticable? is the carbon SO much lighter it makes a big differance, and is the carbon actually weaker? if so how fragile is it?

It's not that fragile. Most likely stronger. If hit at certain angles (not something I would worry about on a xmod), it might crack, but it will hold up. It's most likely lighter, it looks MUCH cooler, and more expensive....

I would go with Carbon vs. Alloy. Alloy will bend.

The CF is VERY strong. No real advantage eitherway. You would never notice any difference. My opinion go for the cheap aluminum ones on ebay. If i was home I could cut you out a CF chassis for alot less, but alas im not. I do have a tutorial on how to make a stilletto yourself, check it out its on XMS here just do a search.

i know that "ideally" the 2 aa lith ion 2s "pack" from atomic would fit better, but could you use li-po with the stilleto chasis?2s and/or 2s2p?

(what would perform better? 2s li-ion, 2s li-po, 2s2p li-po?...what would generate the longest runtimes outa those 3?)

I've seen lipos used on stilleto chassis before. Works fine.

Lipos work better with BL motors because of their higher discharge rate. Theres not really a big difference [correction?] between lipos and lith-ions. Although I did hear lipos being a little better, but they are quite more dangerous. Theres no metal case like the lith-ions. 2S2P lipos have the same power just lots more run time as the mAh is doubled. When wired in S, you increase volts and power and in P you get more run time.

Well, according to XMDrifter Li-ion has a 75% increase in power over stock, while Li-poly has a 100% increase in power over stock. That is quite a bit.

You can use either or on the stilletto. The lipo is better but they are more delicate like dontspamme stated) I use both, you aren't really gonna notice a HUGE difference either way. The more power you get from the Lipo really isn't worth it because Lithium Ions are already way to fast and takes an experienced driver to even be close to keeping it under control. I would stick with the Li-Ion but your fine either way. The only time i ever really go with the Lipo is when Im doing some sort of custom build that has limited battery space, because they are so slim.... but even then (If I can get them) i will try to use the Flat Li-Ion cells that are on ebay. (I really like those alot)
