Metal bearings
AWD
Stage 2 motor (the more torque the better)
The plastic drfiting tires OR the hard rubber tires (depends what surface you plan to drift on)

and LOTS OF PILLOWS AGAINST THE WALLS!!! LOL im jk but seriously do it ina big area if you haven't drifted before cuz you will run into stuff in a small area.

Drift tires really aren't that expensive...but ur right you dont NEED them...you don't need AWD either but all those things make it a lot easier and more enjoyable to drift imo

you don't really need awd for drifting
you just need some hard tires and a better motor with torque
suspension upgrade will help

Depending on where you're drifting, you can always use the black electrical tape over your stock tires.

Sorry to go off topic, but those who're driftin their Evos, are you using Gen1 drift wheels? Did they even make Evo drift wheels?

Yeah, they're supposedly "hard rubber" but really hard rubber has similar properties as plastic, so yeah.

I know the gen1 drift kit was carried over, but they should make one for the Evo specifically, since the gen1 drift wheels are so small

Yeah, I love the fact that RS used 5Zigen's FN01R-C wheels. They look great... I just wish they made a larger diameter one for the Evos, since they look like 15's if you scale them up, while stock Evo wheels are comparable to 17's

yeah they should be bigger, but i guess that would raise the price of them. they do look like 15s. i wish you could fit a 20"rim on the evos, that would look tight!

You should try an LSD (limited slip differntial), also instead of using plastic tires, try using a really big, torquey (Is this a word?) motor and rubber tires (AM's drift tires) dift like real cars do.

Or you could just get AWD, some plastic wheels and the annoying sound of plastic on wood flooring.

Later,
RedSXmodder
