Default my celica project!

my fathers first car was a 1975 toyota celica. so I went to the hobby and found the model kit of the same car. ive got the body all done. all i need to do is buy an xmod chassis for it and mount it.

its lite blue and looks awesome with gloss black rims.

My camera broke so at the moment i dont have pictures of it.
but please be patient.
when the car is on a chassis i will add pictures.

hey man, take your time, its not like we're gonna kill you over no pics. its just nicer to have pics because then people know you are serious about making this project (im not saying you arent) if they can see what you are starting with. i myself was going to do a project but i had no pics and i ended up not doing it anyways so it was just a waste of space on the forum. when you do get pics, i recommend you use photobucket. its the easiest way to gets pictures on here, trust me.

before serious xmoders read this, i'd like to tell you that it's not a "frame" it is a chassis, telling you so you don't get called noob or anything

Get a photobuckett account, you can upload pics on there and post them on the site. Make sure that your pictures aren't so large that they break the forum tables.

Also, just a suggestion, there are many people who create "build threads" and talk about all the things they are going to do, and this and that, but never get anything done. You will get much more response and feedback if you include pictures in your thread, even if it is just progress pics or pics of the model kit that you start out with.

I was thinking about pickin' one of those models up awhile back. Good job on it! How does it steer? Looks like the front end is a little narrow.

Good deal. You should think about putting some retro looking wheels on it to.

Something like this:

or this:

The paint scheme looks oem, the stance is nice and low, but I think the wheels look to "modern", if that makes sense.

You should just leave it as is until it gets really messed up or get a beater. Don't want to put to many layers of paint on her.

Are you going to stick with the blue?

im going to just put another layer of paint on it. its all scraped up. so i have to sand it done to the bear plastic and prime it and sand and then i can paint it and clear it. i like the light blue met. it really fits the car. im probably going to make the body (when its done) a shelf queen because i like it so much and im celica CRAZY. lol

Ok cool. I was going to suggest if you change color to go with the Fusion brand. If you shelf it for a month, so that it can fully cure, you will have to try to scratch it.
