Wink My Xmod upgrades ...

Well with all the answers to my questions from you guys I figured I would post some pics of my Xmod and what I have done so far. Funny, I just planned to keep it stock and run off AAA's when I got it...yeah...right...btw I am no longer using the motor in the first pic - changed to Atomic Stock R and 2x2 Fets

Thanks guys - All_Xmods, it costed a little bit of cash lol - but hey its a hobby and I decided to "reward" myself with all the extra hours I been puttin in at work! The charger can be used to charge any type of battery even lead acid so that was a great deal and I got it for a little under $40.

Still waiting on front dogbones, atomic stock R motor, 2x2 FETs and GPM awd shaft gears - will post up some pics once they arrive and maybe make video once I get it all done - It was crazy fast with the Speedy07BB but that motor burned out cos its not made for Lipo lol.

Ya I was gonna go with Red but it was hard to find all the red parts so I went with blue and don't regret it one bit - the parts look so much nicer in front of you instead of a picture lol.

Hey I hope you guys dont think it was all the parts for under $40 lol - it was just the charger which I found on Ebay, if you guys still would like to know I can post the link...

All the other parts came to over $140 or so I think...

Wink

UPDATE : I installed the 2x2 FET Stack and the new motor and wow - this thing is INSANE!! My house suddenly became too small for it lol. I even took it to work and tested it in our big warehouse and even then I was reaching the walls, etc. in NO TIME! I like the high whine of this motor with the Lipo's installed. Sounds and drives like a hobbygrade R/C now

Umm, now the only problem I got is the tires very seldomly start flying off at high speeds lol, here is a pic :

So what can I do to stop this? I was thinking some of that super thin double sided tape they sell to put on the rim or something...

Cool

Ok thanks - I did not know that haha. BTW, I tried some double sided tape and it did not do anything - a few high speed drift turns and the two tires flew right off! Thinking about gettin aluminum / metal rims as well - those are stronger too I guess...

BTW, do mini-z tires / rims fit the Xmods EVO / Street? I also tried some foam tires together with the rims they come with, no go - the rims are too small inside diameter and they get stuck on my GPM knuckles / wheel bearing assemblies...

u have to mod the rim or the axle.i mod the axle to fit the awd mini z wheels. All u have to do is make a flat spot on the other side of the axle.Practice on the stock one before u do the GPM one

Thanks, yeah it was kinda insane compared to the stock one I also have. Now it feels like my wood floors just got a whole lot smaller because of the speed haha.

No I was thinking of gettin one then I forgot about it and you just reminded me haha - I'm tryin to find a cheap used one since I know I will not be using it all the time, so it will not be that much of a loss hehe.
