purple/silver looks real nice man, the silver would accentuate the purple parts; make 'em stand out even more. It isn't bad at all that you're getting silver in the mix.

Post some pics of the yellow wheels when you re-do 'em man!

Thanks guys. Picked up some paint for the small details.

Paint should be cured enough to tape off tomorrow.

***EDIT***

What a disaster. I taped off the door handles and headlamps. Brushed on a little Testors Steel Gray. Not only did my skill cause it to smudge, it also ran down the door seams. I ended up letting it dry and reverse-taping it for a quick little spritz of flat black. Thank goodness it's a flat black finish and not some high gloss paint job.

AAAAAARRRGH!

Trying to add these little details just took a near perfect paint job and KILLED it.

No more trying to get the door handles and lights to look perfect. I'd rather have a body that looks as cleans as I just had it. Once this gobbeldygook dries, I am going to sand it back a layer and start fresh w/ a nice coat of flat black. I have a little idea for the headlights, but door handles can stay black .

From nearly perfect to this.... I think I got too cocky.

HAHAHAHA! It looks worse than it was. I kind of panicked and rushed a fix that didn't work. Sanding it back down was the answer.

She's all better now. I painted the back of the clear headlights w/ a chrome. Looks pretty cool.

Pics later.

take a detail fine point brush and dab it in a lil silver for those, these brushes can be found at your lhs or any artistry shop for about 3 bucks anywhere to 10 as far as ive seen, i got mine for 5 bucks, its a synthetic brissel type brush so the package says. and i cant say enough to get the point across that its the best brush ive ever bought. my modeling skills and detail when up sooo much since buying it. but yeah thats what you need man. also a tip for doing the head lights. pop the lens out, paint behind then pop the lens back in. thats what i did for my civic. just remember not EVERYTHING need to be sprayed

Yeah, I actually taped off before using a fine point hobby paint brush to do the silver. My fine motor skills are for sh*t. I can't even read my own writing.

I did tape off and spray OVER it. That's when I made the big boo boo in the pic.

I'll have a visual aid tomorrow. It will show the headlight trick I tried.

the gold goes with the red of the headlights but the silver goes good with the black so maybe silver rims with gold lip or vice versa.

All back to normal as you can see. I will try to avoid further posts in this thread until parts start trickling in.

that turned out great looking. go with the drifter look, white in front and yellow in back..jk. i think i like the white best but the yellow does add some color to the flat back.

So the parts started trickling in today. Getting some help w/ installing the front knuckles.

Since the chassis that came w/ my GT-R drove straighter than my others, I adjusted the length and tossed this body on there. Kept the GT-R wheels for a fully stealthed look.

Looks sick man. A small artistic change I think would look cool would be to do the front bumper in a gloss black, or shoot just the bumper with some black candy color. Just my opinion though. And maybe paint some of the green stock chassis parts black (they draw the eye away from the car).
