Post Project: Evo VIII Drift

Ok so i know im new here but ive been in xmods for a few years since the evo line as my evo VIII was my first xmod and i just picked it back up a week ago and decided wth and now going to start posting on XMS as i been reading around here for a few days now and i noticed i didnt see someone try this project and since im already half way there i figured why not. Im going to try and go for the evo from f&f tokyo drift since im a huge evo VIII fan and drift fan. so heres what im going for:

and heres what im at already:

I know the paint needs touched up as i painted it a few years ago before i dropped out of xmods andthe stock hood is painted as well just didnt put it on for the pics.

Mods that are do so far:
*Custom Paint
*S2 8-25 Tooth Gearing
*RS Suspension With Yellow All Around
*SB Hybrid Mod
*Custom Red Neon (Still In Progress Started Today Just Needs Wired)

Mods Wish List:
*GMP Knuckles
*6 Cell Litho
*Custom Exhaust (Working on after neons)

Since This Is My First Paint Job And It Was A Few Years Ago With A Paint Brush Free Hand Without Tape I Know Its Not The Best But I Have To Re-Paint Any Way And Paint Is All Screwed Up As This WAS A Rally Car. Any Comments/Input Is Helpful As I Will Post Pics As It Comes Along. Thanks For Reading

it is like i said i did the paint a few years ago before the movie and today i read though the project threads and didnt see anyone trying this project and reliezed im already half way there but reliezed i used the wrong paint and since i used it for rally it got beat up the bodys in great shape just not the paint so ill be re-painting it once i start my new job also stuck on how i should wire the neons im thinking either sep. switch as i have a extra switch from a beat up xmod i got for 5 bucks at RS thats only good for parts or wire to CLL which involves taking off my GT-R or what but ill have pics up later tonight once i figure the wiring out then more pics much later with the exhaust

***UPDATE*** The custom neons are not working like i planned i was using the 7 multi color led from RS with a potenimeter (sp) so i could in theory make them solid or pulse slow or fast but im not as smart as i thought so until i get some help im going back to the red as i was planning and im also going to the internal antena (sp) and spelling class lol pics coming tonight when i finish the 3 mods (neon, antena, exhaust)

Are you running the neons from external power source? Are they glowsticks?

I've tried that with my AM Z back when I had one and AM simply needs to stand tall to work well. If you really want to go "antenna-less", its 2.4 or nothing.

What i did was used the formula from XMW thread posted by Mongo: http://www.xmodworld.com/node/33510 and used a CAT5 internet cable and cut it to the proper lenth from the thread and used 2 of the wires from the CAT5 cable and screwed it in and hot glued it to the chassis and it works like a champ no range problems at all but i havent tested the range to see how far as this is my drift car and i dont need it to go very far and as a update on court i almost went to jail for 30 days but got lucky so im back home now and starting to work on the body pics will come as soon as i finish a lil
