ditch the tires. you have the worst crawling tires EVER on there right now. you would be better off with rocks as tires. no joke.

get some aoshima super swampers, if the hs-55 is for the motor get rid of that and get a diy drop in motor. if it is for steering use my tut. otherwise, looks great, and good luck.

Those are aoshima super swampers. ??? SPR says they are no good for crawling, but that's what I see on most crawlers. Any suggestions.

Those are IROK tires. Aoshimas Swampers are smaller and made with a softer rubber. They look like this:

Nice start! I like the body. Same one I had for my failed SSMT build. What are your plans for paint?

No, sorry. I was really lucky to get these tires, and I would like to keep them seeing how rare they are. If you need some, Aoshima models have them in their kits. I got my tires from 3 4Runner kits. You can also use the body on your crawler.

No, those are the exact same as the IROKs. Hard plastic. I'd avoid them.

dont listen to kendall. those are just as bad as iroks. they are hard slick plastic. they are not good for crawling.

as others have said, get the aoshima super swampers. they are the best. they are Smaller than the iroks. but not by much. and they are made out of soft rubber so you get good flex to hug the rocks.

you can sometimes find members on here with them for sale. other wise you have to get on ebay and buy a model kit to get them. kits run about 20-30 bucks.

You can also try these. They are from John Deere toy tractor at Target. It's more of a monster truck tire but can definitely used for crawling b/c they are super soft and grippy.

If by any chances you can't seem to find the aoshimas swampers, get the john deere tires as suggested, apparently, they are softer than aoshimas themselve. They just dont look as scale-ish. But you can still cut them and narrow them down.

Another thing that is important, Keep the center of gravity as low as possible.
And try adding weights on both axles, I can see you took off the stock battery tray so i suggest you to put 2 batterys on top of the front axles and 2 others on top of the rear, thus you'll get better traction and more groudnd clearance.
