I agree it would look a little better if it sat a little lower. I am a little hesitant on lowering it. Lowering the front seems easy enough. Messing with the rear seems to pose some engineering questions. I may tackle it this weekend.

Honestly, I am unsure how to go about attacking the back.

My Dremel and other tools are ready for a challenge though.

I think it should be lowered as well. There is plenty of tutorials on how to do it.

I really like the stealth look it has.

like what xmodsunlimited said, there are tutorials. to save you some time searching, what you can do is remove the rear clip and shave the plastic that holds it maybe 1mm or more..your preference, really. if you dont get, then just search. try using a low grit sandpaper rather than a dremel if your dexterity isnt the best; at least there's more control.

i love this car :3

This was actually my plan. I was going to shave a little off of both sides right where they meet in order to keep a little strength on both ends.

The front is easy enough. Going to do it this weekend. Hopefully more parts will trickle in by then.

Nearly all of my parts came in. I have installed it all and am tweaking things.
She's looking good.

- GPM Front Knuckles
- GPM Rear Knucles
- GPM Front and Rear Shocks
- GPM Engine Heatsink
- GPM Front Engine Bay Cover
- GPM Steering Horn
- GPM Steering Arm Cover Plate
- GPM Front ARM
- GPM Rear Arm

Pics later on. Still have not lowered the body at all yet. One step at a time .

Went to get rechargeable batteries today and didn't blow the loot. I did pick up some Energizer Lithiums to test out. My GPM'd car is lighter than my non-GPM car with them in there.

It's hard to tell in this pic because of the angle, but here she is lowered a bit after a practice driving session. Check the before pic below it for some comparo. I will have a similarly angled pic to get a good comparison tomorrow. It's legit a lot lower.

Wow did you repaint your rims white? they look much cleaner and neat now instead of how they used to look "over painted"

Actually, on day one of this project, I did one set of yellow wheels which ended up getting scrapped, and one white. I ended up running the Audi black wheels though to go ALL stealthed.

Lookee Lookee...

All but my bearings have been installed. She's driving real nice as well. Had a minor issue with the body not staying on after I initially lowered it, but shimmed the rear clip a bit to make it stay tight.

Looks sweet, you got to love new and shiny parts.
Now all you have to do is throw in a mini-Z board in it and you'll have a really nice driving Xmod.

I just built her, so definitely not for sale. Once I tallied the $$ I spent on parts (and will probably still spend), it became kind of priceless (meaning no one would pay me what I put into it).

Not rechargeable batteries. So far they've worked well, but I've only logged about 20 minutes on them.

Definitely lighter than normal AAA's though. I see very little weight difference between the nearly full GPM car and a stock one. The GPM actually feels SLIGHTLY lighter.
